dooooone

ay so waters have mostly settled, i am feeling a bit more sane these days. i’ve been able to actually get back on track with fitness and hit the rower this week. throwing the tv in front of it was one of the best decisions i have ever made and it makes the time fly. i’ve actually been tryna get through mad men. digging it so far, what would life be like being treated like a lesser being along side men though. to be deemed less intelligent and incapable of doing certain things because of it.

falling in the theme of treatment of women, i have been getting through the movie summer of sam. john leguizamo’s character is an actual piece of shit in the movie and it’s really hard to stomach (i’ve been watching this through multiple sessions and i have about 20 mins to go here) as the movie has so much focus on him and his relationship.the disco music in the movie is awesome though and has some hilarious placement. its sex fueled and adrian brody has a slick ‘do

also checked out dune part 2 over the weekend. i have a lot of trouble following multi character and political story lines. there is so much to catch in details of conversation and i struggle a lot with catching everything. it was nice after the movie though, went out with my partner for snackies and i mentioned my denseness and he walked me through parts that i missed or had trouble understanding. we usually go check out movies at landmark downtown and that place is a ghost town usually, but i guess with this movie still being relatively new we got stuck watching a movie with other people. here are some of the characters that showed up:

  • older couple maybe in their 60’s loudly watching a youtube recap of part 1 prior to the movie starting in the theatre
  • someone sitting about 3 rows down that was filming im not sure if only the intro to the title screen or the entire movie but he ended up moving when other people sat beside him
  • multiple groups of people that came late and stood blocking the screen while removing their coats and while non stop jib jabbin

something exciting i’m thinking about trying out this summer is joining the local rowing club and hitting the water. i’ve only ever hit the concept 2 so i’m looking forward to a new experience this summer. i realized though that i probably need a refresher on swimming so i dont drown when my boat inevitably tips over and i come out of the fort sask with an extra eye

i took swimming lessons when i was younger.. maybe 3-4 levels so i think i’ll just stick with getting some private lessons as a referesher, but i’m really excited to try this out this summer šŸ™‚

hoping to get away soon too, have been taking a look at ripping out to montreal or even back out to toronto to visit a good friend. would be nice to have a quick little 5 day get away or something just to go be a piggie and walk around

anyways i’m still figuring out what this is going to be but so far its a nice way to end the week thinking about what i did and whats been happening. it reminds me that i do more than just eat, shit, work and sleep.

im always covered in an embarrassing amount of dog hair but i would never change it for anything
